Stop Those Unwanted Telemarketing Calls

telemarketing callsYou've moved to France and hoped that you'd heard the last of those unwanted calls offering to sell you this or that product that you don't want and most of all don't need. Think again, telemarketing calls are just as bad in France as they are in the UK and can be doubly annoying and often confusing if you're not very confident with speaking French on the phone.

So if you're fed up with rushing to answer the phone only to find it's somebody trying to sell you double glazing or some other product that you don't want you‘ll be pleased to know that there is something you can do to help stop those unwanted calls.

You can easily prevent most telemarketing calls by by subscribing to the Liste Orange which is run by France telecom. It's free and only takes a minute or two to set up. To get started visit the orange.fr site and click on the button marked gratuit souscrire then it's just a matter of filling in your telephone number and email address. Subscribing to the Liste Orange is free and will also help to prevent you from receiving unwanted junk mail as well.

It won't work for every unwanted call but should stop those from telemarketing companies who obtain your contact details from the Pages Jaunes and Blanches.
