Southampton.

Husband is an electrician and he has lots of work.
I have just opened a ladies boutique with my friend which has all been pretty straightforward.

What was the worst mistake you made when buying in France?
I bought an apartment as an investment in the South of France and rented it out to a young French couple who have completely wrecked it and have stopped paying the rent.

Your best tip or advice to other people considering moving to France?
Do your homework. Have a back up plan. My husband had to go back to work in UK for 14 months a couple of years ago and it was the worst 14 months of my life, living here can be quite lonely.

Did you find it hard to integrate or adjust to your new life in France and do you have any tips to help others?
No, integrating was easy as we both spoke a little French when we moved over.

What's the best thing about living in France?
The freedom, my commute into work is a lovely 10 minute drive through the French countryside.

And the worst?
Expensive!
