Île-de-France
is a region in the north of France that includes the departments Essonne Hauts-de-Seine,
Seine-Saint-Denis, Seine-et-Marne, Val-de-Marne, Val-d'Oise, Yvelines and
France's capital city Paris.The regions name literally means Isle of France. It has a temperate climate with mild but damp winters. Outside of the capital the region abounds with peaceful forests and valleys. The area is rich with culture, Châteaux and pretty villages.
But if the beautiful green countryside combined with the peace and quiet gets too much for you or you have children to entertain you can always head off to Disneyland Paris which can be found in Marne-la-Vallée, in the suburbs of Paris.
