In 2007 my wife and I and a another couple visited France for a month, we had
a terrific time, stayed in Paris for 10 day's and drove around the country side
for a further 3 weeks. It is such a beautiful country, the people were really
friendly and helpful given that my French was very poor(high school French).
We really enjoyed the Le Somme region and we all felt greatly for our Australian Soldiers when we saw the grave sites, but we were touched by the reverence in which the soldiers were held in the region.
My wife and I would like to spend a year in this region if we could find suitable accommodation, and work I am a Plumbing Permit Authority and my wife works with spatial data (GIS) in an IT area both work in Local Government.
