I am writing about dogs in France, not all of them just the ones that are let loose and allowed to chase cars, bikes and people.

I suppose it's the owners really and not the dogs. Anyway I'm writing this having just got in after navigating the twisting lanes back from our local supermarche, I can handle the windy roads it's having to swerve and brake sharply at every other farm or house that we pass on the way back in order to avoid running over some tyre chasing mutt that I object to.

Why oh why don't they keep them enclosed? Surely it's safer not only for the motorist but for the dogs themselves!
