So far the strike has affected over 35% of overseas flights and is estimated to cost Air France more than 100m euros.
It is feared that the strike could spread to the railways on Tuesday as rail workers are planning to strike over proposed changes to their working hours. On Thursday French teachers are planning demonstrations over proposed budget cuts and working conditions.
