CityJet, the airline that flies from the heart of London, today announced the
launch of two new summer routes to Deauville and Brive - the gateways to
Normandy and the Dordogne, two of the UK's best-loved French holiday
destinations. Starting in June, CityJet will operate four flights a week to
Deauville and will be the first airline to offer flights to the brand new
airport of Brive Valley of the Dordogne from its hub at London City Airport
becoming the first airline to offer direct flights from the UK to these two
popular leisure destinations. Services will operate to Deauville from 24 June
2010 until 27 September 2010 and to Brive from 25 June 2010 until 12 September
2010. Prices for both destinations start from £59 one way, including all taxes.Deauville Normandy
Deauville is a stylish Normandy resort town that offers the perfect backdrop to a cultural city break as well as easy access to the region's extensive beaches and historical villages and world class heritage sites such as Honfleur, Mont St. Michel and the Bayeux tapestry. Deauville is also home to a selection of luxurious hotels, spas, and golf courses as well as a famous racecourse and casino. And each September, Deauville becomes even more glamorous, as the annual Film Festival draws a cross-section of top Hollywood talent!
Brive Valley of the Dordogne
The brand new Brive Airport, opening in June 2010, will be the best situated airport for UK visitors to the Dordogne, Lot and Correze regions. The area offers beautiful scenery, cycling, fishing and canoeing as well as access to the stunning medieval towns of Bergerac, Turenne and Sarlat. Brive is also home to a highly regarded rugby team.
Says Geoffrey O'Byrne White, CEO, CityJet, "We're delighted to be the first to offer flights to these attractive destinations, and they add to our extensive European network out of London City Airport. The Normandy and Dordogne areas of France are immensely popular with British holidaymakers, families and second home owners and both areas now have a large population of British expats as well. The frequent services we'll be offering will cater to that market as well as open up access to these stunning holiday regions, with their beautiful beaches and countryside, to a wider audience. Londoners will be able to escape the hustle and bustle of the capital this summer and enjoy long weekends and family holidays on the French coast or in the heart of beautiful South-Western France. With our convenient flight schedule and the fast 15 minute check-in at London's most central airport, London City, we'll ensure that our customers' travel experience is quick and hassle-free, allowing them more time to enjoy their hard-earned holiday." Flights can be booked online at www.Cityjet.com or checked on our flight route map.

... Brive Airport isn't in the Dordogne.... so of little use. Perigueux is more appropriate and central |
