Tourist Spends Night Locked in Town Hall

A tourist from the UK spent her first night in Alsace locked inside the local
town hall. The woman who was in her thirties had asked locals directions to the
nearest hotel and when following their pointing she stumbled across the very
impressive looking Hotel de Ville (French for town hall).
The woman thought she would quickly use the loo before booking in at the reception but unfortunately while she was using the toilets staff decided to lock up for the night leaving the hapless woman trapped inside.
The poor woman then spent the night trying to attract the attention of passers by, she tried turning the lights on and off and even pinning a rescue me note to the glass on the main door. Alas no one noticed her plight and she had to spend the entire night locked inside the town hall.
