Over 300 people were evacuated from their houses in Marseille after a Foreign
Legion drill instructor accidentally sparked a wildfire on the outskirts of the
city.
The fire damaged dozens of homes in the suburbs of the city and and destroyed more than a 1000 acres of brush. The instructor had been using tracer rounds which contained an incendiary during a training session at their base.
