We've just travelled by cattle-truck ferry (Calais-Dover) and it was HORRIBLE! Speed Ferries was such good value and an excellent service. They are a superb company to deal with, and were the ones who brought cross channel ferry prices down to an affordable level.They deserve all the support they can get.
