Once again France has been crowned as the worlds top tourist destination, in 2006 France attracted over 78 million visitors and the revenue generated by tourism increased by 2.5 percent to 34 billion euro.

According to statistics the majority of France's international tourists come from England, Germany, Spain, Holland and Switzerland but there has also been an increase in the numbers visiting from Eastern European countries that have recently joined the E.U. and also from China and Vietnam.

This is good news for Frances employment market as the ministry of Tourism announced that by the end of 2006 19,200 new jobs were created within the industry.
